GENERAL WARRANTY

Bertazzoni SpA will repair or replace any component/part which fails or proves defective due to materials and/or workmanship within the warranty period and retail purchase and under conditions of standard residential use.

The product warranty covers defects of workmanship for 4 years - 2 years standard warranty and 2 additional years upon registration at Bertazzoni.com (4 years total).

Microwave ovens, OTRs, any ventilation products, metal accessories (such as duct covers, refrigerators doors, handle and knob kits, etc.) are excluded from the warranty extensions and covered for 2 years from date of purchase. Warranty coverage is non-transferable. Bertazzoni reserves the right to repair the products at its sole discretion, even if multiple interventions are required. If the product is deemed not repairable, Bertazzoni may propose replacement or refund of product price. In the event of replacement, the replacement product and/or parts thereof shall assume the remaining original warranty activated with original retail purchase document. This warranty shall not be extended with respect to such replacement. Repair or replacement will be free of charge, including labor at standard rates and shipping expenses. Purchaser is responsible for making the product reasonably accessible for service. Repair service must be performed by a Bertazzoni authorized service company during normal working hours. Labor performed at overtime or premium rates may not be entirely reimbursed at Bertazzoni's sole discretion. Bertazzoni’s liability to any claim of any kind, with respect to the goods and/or services provided, shall in no event exceed the value of the goods or service or part thereof which gives origin to the claim.

General warranty exclusions:

Microwave ovens, OTRs, any ventilation products, metal accessories (such as duct covers, refrigerators doors, handles and knob kits, etc.) are excluded from the warranty extensions and covered for 2 years from date of purchase. The following components and or failures are covered for 2 years only from the date of purchase and not covered under the warranty extension:

Ranges: blocked injectors, gas adjustment or gas conversion.

Ovens: damages related to limescale on steam ovens, breakage of inner door tabs.

Refrigerators: ice maker components, water dispenser, water filter, handles, hinges, frost due to damaged gaskets or doors, door panels adjustments on panel ready refrigerators.

Dishwashers: failure and/or any other issue arising from lack of filter maintenance.

Service call to check and/or rectify product performance issues, such as cooking performance, oven temperature accuracy, surface overheating, noise, refrigeration temperature accuracy, ice making capabilities, cleaning performance for ovens and dishwashers are covered for 180 days from date of purchase and not covered under the warranty extension. Repair service provided by other than a Bertazzoni authorized service agency. Damage or repair service to correct service provided by an unauthorized agency or the use of unauthorized parts. Products used for other than its intended scope and/or for commercial applications. Service calls or repairs to correct the incorrect installation of the product and/or related accessories, as well as installation not in accordance with local/state/city/county fire codes, electrical codes, gas codes, plumbing codes, building codes, regulations, or laws. Defects or damage due to improper storage of the product. Defects or damage or missing parts on products sold out of the original factory packaging or from displays. Replacement of parts/service calls to connect, convert or otherwise repair the electrical wiring and/or gas line to properly use the product. Replacement of parts/service calls to provide instructions and education on the use the product. Replacement of parts/service calls to correct issues due to product usage in manner other than what is normal and customary for residential use. Replacement of parts and/or service calls for lack of and /or improper maintenance of the product such as but not limited to: residue build up, stains, scratches, discoloration, corrosion, filters cleaning and maintenance. Defects and damages arising from accidents, alteration, misuse, abuse, improper installation. Defects and damages arising from transportation, delivery and handling of the product. Inspection of the product must be made at time of delivery and any issues from transportation, delivery and handling must be promptly notified to selling dealer/delivery company. Defects and damage arising from external forces beyond the control of Bertazzoni SpA including but not limited to wind, rain, sand, fires, floods, mud slides, freezing temperatures, excessive moisture or extended exposure to humidity, power surges, lightning, structural failures surrounding the appliance and other acts of God. Products with altered/damaged/tampered serial number. Bertazzoni is not liable or responsible for damage to surrounding property, including furniture, cabinetry, flooring, panels and other structures where the product is installed. Bertazzoni may refuse to provide warranty coverage if the product is installed in a remote area or an area where certified service technicians are not reasonably available. Purchaser must bear any transportation and delivery costs of the Product to the nearest authorized Service center or for the travel time and cost of a certified service technician. Wear and tear of components arising from standard conditions of use of the product such as discoloration and scratching is not covered by warranty. Examples of parts not included in standard warranty: worktop burners and caps, gaskets, knobs, pan supports, shelving, stainless steel griddles, cast iron griddles, cutlery baskets, buttons, touch displays, scratched or broken ceramic glass tops, handles, glass plates, glass shelves, door bins, light bulbs, water filters.

COSMETIC WARRANTY

Bertazzoni warrants that the Product is free from cosmetic defects in materials and workmanship such as scratches, paint blemishes and/or other noticeable finish defects for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of original retail purchase of the product. Inspection of the product must be made by homeowner or installer at time of delivery or within thirty (30) days from such date. Cosmetic warranty exclusions: Damage arising from transportation, delivery, handling and/or installation, such as dents, broken, bowed or deformed structures or components, shattered glass components, is not covered under the cosmetic warranty. The cosmetic warranty does not cover slight color variations in painted and/or enameled components and/or stains, corrosion, discoloration caused by external substances and/or environmental factors not under the control of the manufacturer. Product used for showroom display, B-stock, out of-box merchandise, and applainces sold “as is” are not covered by cosmetic warranty under any circumstances.

GLASS WARRANTY

Oven door glass and glass worktops are warranted for 180 days after original purchase date if proven defective due to materials and/or workmanship. Other glass components such as shelves, control panels and light bulbs are covered for 30 days after original purchase date. Glass warranty exclusion: All glass components are excluded from warranty coverage after 30 days from original purchase date, except ranges oven doors and vitro-ceramic glass worktop. Damage arising from transportation, delivery, handling and/or installation such as dents, broken, bowed or deformed structures or components, shattered glass components is not covered under the glass warranty.

REFRIGERATORS SEALED SYSTEM WARRANTY

Refrigerator sealed systems - compressor, condenser, evaporator, drier and all connecting parts - are covered for 5 (five) years from the date of installation. Sealed systems warranty exclusion: All repairs not related to sealed system components of refrigerators are covered by the standard 2-year warranty with 2 additional years upon registration at us.bertazzoni.com (4 years total).

GENERAL PROVISIONS

The warranty coverage provided by Bertazzoni SpA in this statement applies exclusively to the original Bertazzoni appliance sold to the consumer by an authorized Bertazzoni dealer/distributor/retailer, purchased and installed in the United States, District of Columbia, or Canada which has always remained within the country of original purchase (United States, District of Columbia, or Canada). Extended warranty conditions only apply to products sold in United States, District of Columbia

WARRANTY STATEMENT THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES OTHER THAN THOSE LISTED AND DESCRIBED ABOVE, AND NO WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL APPLY AFTER THE EXPRESS WARRANTY PERIODS STATED ABOVE, AND NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE GIVEN BY ANY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION WITH RESPECT TO THIS PRODUCT SHALL BE BINDING ON BERTAZZONI. BERTAZZONI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, FAILURE TO REALIZE SAVINGS OR OTHER BENEFITS, TIME AWAY FROM WORK, MEALS, LOSS OF FOOD OR BEVERAGES, TRAVELING OR HOTEL EXPENSES, EXPENSES TO RENT OR PURCHASE APPLIANCES, REMODELLING/CONSTRUCTION EXPENSES IN EXCESS OF DIRECT DAMAGES WHICH ARE DEFINITIVELY CAUSED EXCLUSIVELY BY BERTAZZONI, OR ANY OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT, REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ON WHICH THE CLAIM IS BASED, AND EVEN IF BERTAZZONI HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOR SHALL RECOVERY OF ANY KIND AGAINST BERTAZZONI BE GREATER IN AMOUNT THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT SOLD BY BERTAZZONI AND CAUSING THE ALLEGED DAMAGE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, PURCHASER ASSUMES ALL RISK AND LIABILITY FOR LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY TO PURCHASER AND PURCHASER’S PROPERTY AND TO OTHERS AND THEIR PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF THE USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT SOLD BY BERTAZZONI NOT CAUSED DIRECTLY BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF BERTAZZONI. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXTEND TO ANYONE OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER OF THIS PRODUCT, IS NONTRANSFERABLE AND STATES YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY.

Bertazzoni does not assume any responsibility for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state or province to province.
